Growing up in Evergreen, Jade had the privilege of learning in our mountain school system and graduated from Evergreen High School in 2019. For her undergraduate studies, Jade attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, where she received a bachelor’s in Psychology and minors in Dance, Gender and Sexuality Studies, and Holocaust and Genocide Studies. While at PLU, Jade participated in various leadership opportunities, including serving as PLU’s 2020-22 Dance Team Captain, Cypher Dance Club Co-Chair, Psychology Club President, and Psi Chi International Honors Society Vice President and later President. During her senior year of college, Jade enrolled at Tuladhara Yoga Studio’s yoga teacher training program, where she received her 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certificate. Jade is currently a yoga instructor at Studio B here in Evergreen and enjoys bringing her knowledge of dance movement and mental health into her yoga practice. Jade’s vocation is advocating for accessible, affordable mental health services for all ages, and she will be pursuing a career in therapy by attending Regis University’s Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program this fall. In her spare time, Jade loves to dance, create art, read, cook vegan cuisine, and travel the world. Jade is passionate about giving back to her community and looks forward to supporting the same mountain school systems that shaped her academic trajectory.
